Terms of Service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These terms apply when you use this website and the Compot app at app.compot.tech (together, the “Service”), provided by Compot (“Compot”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Compot for a company or team, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at info@compot.tech if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Plans, trials and payment

Your content

You own the designs, code, comments and other content you create or bring into Compot. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you and your team, for example to show it on the canvas, send it to the AI provider you chose, or open a pull request you asked for.

You are responsible for your content, and you confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload or connect, including repositories and design systems that belong to others.

Connected services

Compot works with services we do not control, such as GitHub, AI model providers and MCP clients. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. When you add your own AI provider API key, you are responsible for that key and for any charges your provider bills you for.

AI output

The agent can make mistakes. Changes it suggests may be incorrect, incomplete or not suited to your project. Review every change before you keep it or merge it. You are responsible for the code and designs you ship.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Our rights

Compot, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to it except the right to use the Service as described here. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts the Service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. After your account is closed, we may delete your content, so export anything you want to keep.

Changes to the Service and these terms

We are constantly improving Compot, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Compot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.

General

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
